As I mentioned before Christmas, my holiday gift strategy was to make big fat cowls. Mission accomplished. I made a fuzzy winter white one for my friend Laura (left). I essentially followed TTWCreative’s My Kind of Town Cowl. I used different yarns, and since I ran out of it early, I sewed it rather than grafted, this circle scarf. This caused a kinda weird ladder-like column which Laura thinks is a nice design feature. Isn’t that sweet? In addition, I made one of these for another friend and one for myself as well. Those I grafted. One is made from Rowan Ribbon Twist and one is Gedifra Rianna Big Color. Other similar patterns I liked: Marian by Jane Richmond (FREE Ravelry download) and the Mobius Cowl designed by Haley Waxberg of Knit-O-Matic. Lush and cozy!
