Tony Knitting Actor

Monday, June 8th, 2009

nytimes-johngloverYes, the Tony Awards has a knitting story too. Amazing. The Tonys seem like they are all just about glitz, glitter, dumb songs, and ridiculously elaborate choreography. That’s all true. Certainly the awards telecast last night, with the funny Neil Patrick Harris hosting, was just full of it. However, it turns out ┬áthat among the many artists nominated, there is a talented knitter. John Glover (above), a nominee for Best Featured Actor in the play Waiting For Godot is also into knitting. He didn’t win the Tony, but he certainly won me over. The Tony winners are here.
